Rotary District 3261 Begins a New Chapter with Installation Ceremony of District Governor Rtn. Alam Singh Roopra

Rourkela. Rotary International District 3261 officially commenced the Rotary Year 2026–27 with the Installation Ceremony of District Governor Rtn. Alam Singh Roopra at Hotel Pahadi, Rourkela. The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership in accordance with Rotary International protocol.

The installation was graced by Shri Brijesh Kumar Rai, IPS, DIG Western Range, who served as the Chief Guest and Installation Officer, while AKS Rtn. D. R. Pattnaik attended as the Guest of Honour.

As per Rotary International protocol, IPDG Rtn. Amit Pallvi Jayaswal ceremonially handed over the responsibilities of District Governor to Rtn. Alam Singh Roopra. On the occasion, Rtn. Ajay Agrawal officially assumed charge as District Secretary General from the outgoing IDSG Rtn. Somanath Agarwal, Rtn. Sushil Ram Das Agrawal and Rtn. Ajit Khandelwal, in the presence of PDG’s and senior Rotary leaders of District 3261, marking another significant leadership transition for the new Rotary year.

Extending his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes, Rtn. Nitin Jain, District Secretary (MP), Team Ojasvi, congratulated District Governor Rtn. Alam Singh Roopra and First Lady of the District, Rtn. Harpal Roopra, wishing them a successful, impactful, and inspiring tenure.

Rtn. Nitin Jain expressed confidence that under the visionary leadership of District Governor Alam Singh Roopra and the dedicated efforts of Team Ojasvi, Rotary International District 3261 will achieve new milestones in membership growth, impactful service projects, public image, leadership development, and humanitarian initiatives. He added that every Rotarian of District 3261 firmly believes the district will set new benchmarks and create a lasting impact during Rotary Year 2026–27 under its new leadership.
